Please take note! New rules effective December 2010 regarding membership registration! Individual membership and horse registration will be conditional, beginning either with the postmark date if sent by mail to the CDHJC secretary, or with the date on the check, if received by the secretary of a CDHJC recognized show, until the payment has cleared. Points can accrue beginning with the date the membership and payment was submitted, and will become permanent when the individual and/or horse is considered a member in good standing.
Optimum Time Jumper Division
Championships not to count toward year end awards. Open to Junior or Adult Amateur riders. Fence height: .75 - .85 (2’5” – 2’9”). Horse and rider combinations entered in an Optimum Time Jumper class MAY show in CH/AD Jumper Low classes on the same day, but may NOT show in CH/AD Jumper High classes on the same day. All classes to be run in accordance with USEF Table IV (Sections 1 -2c) wherein classes are scored on faults as under Table II, however, all ties are broken on the basis of the Optimum Time. “Optimum Time” is defined as 4 seconds less than the time allowed for the course. For each class, a time allowed will be posted on the course plan. In the case of equality of faults, the horse/rider combination with the closest time to the optimum time (over and under) will prevail in the tie, next closest next, etc. Local CDHJC shows offering Optimum Time Jumper classes for CDHJC points must offer at least two classes. A minimum of three riders must complete the course in order for points to count toward year end awards.
The CDHJC will recognize points earned at USEF A-rated horse shows which offer optimum time classes (most likely under a different name) so long as said classes adhere to the above description. USEF A-rated horse shows are not required to offer 2 classes in this division for points to count toward CDHJC year end awards.
